Profound
The deepest cross-engine visibility data on the market, built for board-ready enterprise reporting.
The verdict
Profound scores 78/100 in the current Index — excellent. It's a strong fit for enterprise, agency teams, with full coverage as its standout. The thing to watch is full coverage is enterprise-priced.
What Profound does

Most tools in this space make you choose between powerful and usable. Profound is the rare one that doesn't. Prompts are tracked daily, the integrations and automation are genuinely impressive, and despite being one of the most feature-rich platforms here, it's also the easiest to drive. That combination is the whole reason it's become the default GEO tool for a lot of agencies.
I went in expecting to be underwhelmed by the polish (slick demo, shallow product is the usual story). I wasn't. Three features in particular earned their keep.
The content optimiser
Give it the URL of an existing page and it does a properly good job of telling you where to improve it. Not a vague “add more depth” — specific, extractable changes, scored against an AEO content benchmark, with the weak spots flagged in the order worth fixing them.

It's the feature I'd point a sceptic at first. Paste in a page you already rank with, watch it find the gaps you'd half-noticed but never got round to, and the value lands in about ninety seconds.
The integrations
This is the quiet differentiator, and the one that matters most if you're running this at any scale. Profound plugs into Framer, WordPress and Webflow, plus Notion and Google Drive — so insights don't die in a dashboard nobody opens. You can pipe them straight into wherever your content research and publishing already happen.
That sounds mundane. It isn't. The reason most measurement tools fail isn't bad data — it's that the data never reaches the person who'd act on it. Profound closes that gap better than anything else I tested.
The agent builder
If you want to push automation further, the agent builder lets you assemble Zapier-like workflows for researching, updating and creating content. It's the part I lost the most time to — in the good way, the way where you look up and an hour's gone.

Here's the detail that made me sit up. When you create a new piece of content in Profound, it isn't a black box — it's actually running a pre-built workflow like this in the background. You can open the nine default steps and see exactly what it's doing, then fork it. Transparency like that is rare, and it's the difference between trusting the output and crossing your fingers.

Profound is the only tool here where I felt I could see, and edit, exactly how the sausage gets made.
The catch
It's the pricing ladder. The $99 starter plan looks friendly right up until you notice it only watches ChatGPT — and the moment you want all the engines, you're into custom Enterprise pricing with a sales call attached. There's no free trial to kick the tyres first either, which for a tool this confident feels like a missed trick.
So you're really choosing between “cheap but narrow” and “complete but call us.” There's not much of a sensible middle for a growing team that wants three or four engines without an enterprise contract.
Who it's for
If you're an agency or a team that wants daily tracking, deep integrations and serious automation — and the budget for full coverage — Profound is the most complete platform I tested, full stop. If you're pre-revenue, or you just want to measure where you stand across every engine without an enterprise conversation, the jump to full coverage is harder to justify, and a cheaper tracker will tell you most of what you need.
